How it works
Three steps between
you and better mechanics.
Record one shot
Phone on the ground, in a fence, or in a parent’s hand. No sensors, no markers, no special field.
AI reads the rep
Pose detection maps your joints through wind-up, release and follow-through, then scores each phase against your level.
Fix it, then re-shoot
One focus cue and one drill per session — then the app tracks whether the change actually stuck.
The breakdown · tap a phase
AI that actually
understands lacrosse.
Every phase of the shot is measured against lacrosse mechanics and calibrated to your skill level, so the feedback reads like a coach who knows the game — not a generic motion report.
Phase 1 of 3
Wind-up
Where power gets loaded. Most lost mph starts here — a short lead arm or a collapsed load caps everything downstream.
What gets graded
Power load
Elbow position
Shoulder–hip separation
Phase 2 of 3
Release
The half-second that decides speed and accuracy. Timing between torso, hands and front foot is graded frame by frame.
What gets graded
Torso rotation
Weight transfer
Stick path
Phase 3 of 3
Follow-through
Proof the shot finished. Stopping short bleeds power even when everything before it looked right.
What gets graded
Body follow-through
Forward weight transfer
Inside the report
Feedback specific enough to act on.
Scores, a coach summary, what changed since your last rep, and the one thing to work on next.
Shot speed & form score
Two numbers you can chase, plus the shot type detected automatically.
Tap any flagged joint
The overlay marks what broke down — tap it to hear why it costs you power.
Progress vs. last session
Metric-by-metric change, a coach summary, and next session’s focus.
Pulled from one real session report
Under the hood
What it takes to grade
a shot properly.
Clean pose tracking
Joints tracked through the entire motion, including the fast frames where the stick blurs and the shooting arm is hardest to follow.
Phase-aware scoring
The shot is split into wind-up, release and follow-through, because “bad elbow” means something different in each one.
Calibrated to your level
A 12-year-old and a college attackman get graded against different standards, so the cue you get is one you can act on.
Drill library
A drill for the flaw
you actually have.
Every report ends with one prescribed drill, pulled from a library built around the mechanics the app measures.
Follow-through
Wall Touch Finish
A physical marker for full extension — miss the wall, you cut the shot short.
Release
Wrist Snap Isolation
Kill the lower body, shoot from the hands only, feel where the whip comes from.
Weight transfer
Step-Through Ladder
Force the front foot to land before the ball leaves the stick, rep after rep.
Wind-up
Power Load Hold
Pause at the top of the wind-up to own the position before you fire.
Our story
Built by a player.
Built for players.
Henry Graves grew up rewatching shooting film with no way to know whether he was copying it right. LaxCoach AI is the tool he wanted: elite-level mechanical feedback, on the phone already in your pocket.
“Whether you’re just getting started or pushing for a championship, I hope this app helps you take your game to the next level.”
